Zinc oxide sunscreen

I discovered that a zinc oxide sunscreen that we buy at Wal-Mart for under $2.00 helps me a lot. It's the Ocean Potion Face 45 clear zinc oxide sunscreen. It comes in a one ounce container. I rub it in after showering. It immediately makes the redness less noticeable and within a day my skin starts to heal. Within three days or so, my skin looks good.
I also find that staying away from candy helps.

This summer I began using Solar Sense Clear Zinc 45 cream as a facial sunscreen. I was amazed, when just a few days later, my rosacea began clearing.
I checked online to see if others had found a connection between zinc and rosacea and found lots of confirmation. It seems that zinc and dimethecone (also in Solar Sense) work together to improve rosacea.
Solar Sense 45 also has other skin-healthy ingredients: aloe, green tea extract, and vitamins A,C, and E.
It is inexpensive (about $4.00 at Kroger) and is the only product I've used that actually improved my skin, instead of just keeping the rosacea from getting worse.
